Go High Level (GHL) Automation Specialist

A Go High Level (GHL) Automation Specialist builds, optimizes, and maintains CRM systems, pipelines, and automated workflows to help clients streamline operations, improve lead management, and increase conversions.

Role Overview

We are hiring a Go High Level (GHL) Expert who will work directly with one or more OkayRelax clients to build, optimize, and maintain their Go High Level systems.

This is not a basic VA role. We are looking for someone who deeply understands Go High Level and can design, automate, troubleshoot, and optimize full client workflows. You will act as the technical and strategic owner of the client’s GHL environment — ensuring their CRM, pipelines, automations, and campaigns run smoothly and drive results.

The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable translating business goals into efficient GHL systems.


What You Will Do

CRM & Pipeline Management

  • Build and maintain Go High Level CRM structures, including contacts, custom fields, and segmentation.
  • Create and optimize sales pipelines to reflect client sales processes.
  • Ensure data hygiene by regularly auditing contacts, opportunities, and tags.
  • Import, export, and migrate data as needed.
  • Set up lead routing, assignment rules, and opportunity workflows.

Automation & Workflow Development

  • Design and implement advanced GHL workflows and automation sequences.
  • Build multi-step nurture campaigns using email, SMS, voicemail drops, and triggers.
  • Troubleshoot broken automations and optimize for performance and deliverability.
  • Implement conditional logic, wait steps, and behavior-based automation.
  • Monitor automation performance and recommend improvements.

Funnel & Landing Page Support

  • Build and optimize funnels, landing pages, and forms inside Go High Level.
  • Connect forms and surveys to appropriate workflows and pipelines.
  • Ensure mobile responsiveness and basic conversion best practices.
  • Set up tracking, pixels, and attribution where required.
  • Perform basic split testing (A/B tests) when needed.

Email, SMS & Campaign Management

  • Set up and manage email marketing campaigns inside GHL.
  • Configure SMS and voicemail campaigns in compliance with best practices.
  • Warm up domains and monitor deliverability.
  • Manage unsubscribe handling and suppression lists.
  • Analyze campaign metrics and suggest optimizations.

Integrations & Technical Setup

  • Connect Go High Level with third-party tools (Zapier, Stripe, Google, Facebook, etc.).
  • Configure calendars, booking systems, and appointment workflows.
  • Set up domains, DNS records, and email sending services (SMTP, Mailgun, etc.).
  • Troubleshoot integration issues and API-related problems.
  • Support white-label or sub-account setups when needed.

Reporting & Optimization

  • Build and maintain dashboards and reports for clients.
  • Track key metrics such as lead flow, conversion rates, and campaign performance.
  • Provide clear weekly or monthly performance summaries.
  • Identify bottlenecks in funnels or pipelines and recommend fixes.
  • Continuously improve systems for efficiency and scalability.

Client Support & Communication

  • Translate client goals into technical GHL implementations.
  • Provide clear updates on work completed and system status.
  • Document SOPs for workflows and account structures.
  • Train clients or team members on basic GHL usage when needed.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve the client’s setup.

What You Need (Required)

  • 3+ years of hands-on Go High Level experience managing real client accounts.
  • Proven experience building workflows, pipelines, funnels, and automations in GHL.
  • Strong understanding of CRM best practices and lifecycle marketing.
  • Experience with email marketing, SMS campaigns, and lead nurturing systems.
  • Solid technical comfort with integrations (Zapier, webhooks, APIs at a basic level).
  • Excellent English communication skills (written and spoken).
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Proactive mindset — you spot problems and fix them without waiting.
  • Reliable high-speed internet and quiet remote workspace.
  • Availability overlapping US business hours.

Nice to Have (Strong Plus)

  • Experience in agencies or multi-client GHL environments.
  • White-label GHL or SaaS mode experience.
  • Funnel conversion optimization experience.
  • Basic HTML/CSS knowledge for page customization.
  • Experience with Facebook Ads or Google Ads tracking.
  • Familiarity with other CRMs (HubSpot, Salesforce, ActiveCampaign).
  • Copywriting experience for nurture sequences.
  • Experience documenting SOPs and training teams.
